I am passionate about solving business problems and helping others make the most of their talents. Through my work at Story2, I get to do both.

I intuitively use stories to fuel personal and professional growth. A story about how to make the most of one little league at-bat won a state title for my Academic Decathlon team in high school. A story about promising my parents they wouldn’t have to pay for college in the 7th grade landed a full-ride to Michigan State. A story about my dream to run Chicago Public Schools and then the Chicago Cubs paved the way to attend Stanford GSB. A story about how the NFL playoff structure works got me a job at Google. A story about fantasy baseball helped me create the world’s best internship program (hint - there’s a movie about it)! A story about the Book of Bible stories landed me my first CEO gig. A story about selling at Linkedin landed me my first client as an NFL agent. Again and again...stories take me to the life of my dreams; I want nothing more than to share storytelling to help everyone maximize their professional and personal opportunities.

For the last 25+ years I have been developing, deploying and managing technology solutions for companies ranging from startups to international corporations. I've also been involved in many of the technology innovations of the digital era, including real-time ad delivery, eCommerce, music download technologies, e-learning, digital printing and SaaS.

As a strategist and CTO, I enable Story2 to translate their business needs into technology applications and successful product launches. When not with Story2, I assist companies with technology change, growth and organization. As co-founder of the New York CTO Club, a non-profit professional organization for technology leaders, now in its 17th year, I meet monthly to share insights and support with colleagues. I'm also a mentor in Columbia University’s Executive Masters in Technology Management program.

I received a BS in Computer Science from Melbourne University, Australia, and in 2008 I was named one of Infoworld’s top 25 CTOs.

My story with Story2 goes back to 2008. I met Carol right as she was exploring how story can connect us to ourselves and each other in unexpected ways. Fast forward to today, I've spent ten years collaborating on and off with Story2. In real life I'm a painter who started her career in architecture and fashion at Parsons. Unexpected? Definitely. My parallel life as an artist brings with it valuable perceptual skills that I love sharing with companies whose mission I support. This time around I'm collaborating with Story2 on design and marketing, thrilled to help them launch their gifts into larger marketplaces and reframe what they have to offer in a way that is not simply transactional but inevitable.

TESTIMONIALS

What People Say

  • If everyone used the Story2 Moments Method®, admissions officers would have to take every student’s essay seriously.
    testimonials-img-1.jpg

    Steve LeMenager

former Director of Admissions | Princeton University

  • I knew that storytelling in the business world is so misunderstood and undervalued and that there would be a real opportunity to give my team and I the competitive advantage that could translate to more business if we could emotionally connect and resonate with our clients by telling stories about how our brand could impact lives, change lives and make a difference in their business.

    Lori Burgess

    Publisher | Prevention and Prevention.com

  • The night my brother gave up the life of a gang member, my life changed too. How could I write about that and not sound like a cliché? Story2 taught me to write authentically about things that are extremely personal for me and my family.
